About
Bio
I was born in Everett, Washington in 2002. When I was six months old, my family packed up and moved to Texas, where I was raised for eight years. Being homeschooled for most of my childhood, I found that creating art and stories was a great way to escape reality and make my own. It also helped me overcome extreme anxiety. Eventually, we moved to Wichita, Kansas, where I grew up primarily and went to high school. I now reside in Lawrence, Kansas for university studies.
I always had an attraction to the arts. Whether it was sketching, theater, painting, playing the guitar, or writing, I always found myself having the urge to create and make something to share with others. For high school I went to Northeast Magnet, and am very thankful to have had the opportunity to be in such an intensive art program. Throughout the four years I was able to develop myself as an artist as well as meet many wonderful artistic peers along the way. I am also very thankful to have been able to study oil painting under the magnificent Ernest Vincent Wood III, and I give him so much credit for helping me achieve where I am today.
I am currently studying at the University of Kansas for a degree in the History of Art. I plan on taking what I learn to further my inspiration with my own creations, as I am heavily influenced by the techniques of Baroque and post-Impressionist eras. My current projects delve more into themes of femininity, sexuality, and juxtaposing symbolism.
